Our Commitment
Making our business net zero by 2026.
Tracking and publishing our carbon emissions, working to reduce and offset those emissions and publishing these figures annually.
Collaborating across our sector and beyond, to share learnings and best practice to achieve the above goals.
Supporting and encouraging conversations and call outs by our employees, partners and clients about environmental concerns and viewpoints.
We believe we have a role in using our extensive understanding of consumer behaviour in advocating and supporting our clients with their sustainability agenda. We also commit to educating ourselves and our employees to positively impact the planet. If you want to know more about our journey or, if we can help you with yours, then please give us a shout!
Diversity.
Equality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion is not just a box ticking exercise but core values that Motif strives to uphold.
We know that representing and promoting varied perspectives helps build a happier, more productive company; whether it be gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, citizenship, or any other unique aspect which makes someone human.
We believe Motif can be a platform for social change and through our EEDI strategy we are building a more inclusive culture at all levels where all differences are welcomed, celebrated, and valued.
Wellbeing.
Mindful Motif
During the pandemic, we realised the increased need to protect our mental health. We have created a team called ‘Mindful Motif’ as we want all members of Motif to be mindful of mental health in our day-to-day roles.
Being mindful means caring about more than our own interests and looking to ensure Motif is a kind and thoughtful working environment.
Every Motifer has been given the opportunity to take a mental health awareness course. We believe it is important that everyone understands firstly, what mental health is and secondly how to recognise if they are suffering from poor mental health.
Members of the Mindful Motif team have taken part in a mental health first aid course and look to share tips within the company on how we can look after our mental health. Our five tips are:
1. Have a dedicated workspace
2. Never check work emails from bed
3. Create a morning routine that is focused on you, not work
4. Make a fitness and/or hobby routine (and stick to it)
5. Plan so that you avoid end of day decision fatigue.
